I got a big order from my Grannie on Monday for 3-4 of every baby basics item I make. That means burp cloths, bibs and blankets. I am also going to use the opportunity to experiment making a hooded towel. I chose light purple for my first try... I'm going to start on that tonight. The blankets turned out super cute - just double sided cotton receiving blankets. I still have some that my mom made when I was a baby, so I know they will hold up.
I scored last night in the fabric section of the other Walmart in town. They had the flag fabric I thought I would never find again! I got 5 yards (almost the whole bolt) and am set to make 7-8 more dresses out of it. Yay! I am also trying to get some matching korker bows worked up at the same time. Have several customs involving this fabric. I knew it would be popular for summer!

I need to send you a pic of my FAV home made bib, I tried one but kept geting hung up with my vintage Kenmore! Maybe with your new serger? ;) I also have a great home made hooded towel for toddlers that DH's Granny made - a big bath towel with an oversized wash cloth for the hood! Your stuff looks great, I PROMISE I'll pick a flag fabric today! xoxo
That is exactly how I made the towel! Added a hood to a full-size bath towel. It turned out cute, and was very easy. Next I'll try adding cute embellishments to it. It was super easy and fun!
